Michelin Guide Florida Goes Statewide, Awards New Stars in 2026

For the first time, the Michelin Guide's Florida selection now spans the entire state. At the 2026 ceremony on May 28, inspectors unveiled a list that reaches well beyond the guide's original strongholds of Miami, Orlando, and Tampa to cover restaurants across all of Florida.

Two restaurants earned new one-star honors: Mutra in Miami, led by chef Raz Shabtai, and Emelina in West Palm Beach, from chefs Osmel Gonzalez and Camila Salazar. Together with returning starred names, they anchor a selection that also recognized dozens of Bib Gourmand and recommended eateries — more than 200 restaurants in all, spanning some 41 cuisine types.

A guide that keeps growing

Michelin launched in Florida in 2022 in partnership with the state's tourism arm, initially spotlighting three metros before expanding to the Fort Lauderdale area, the Palm Beaches, and St. Petersburg-Clearwater. The 2026 edition's move to a full statewide scope is a milestone that puts smaller markets — from the Panhandle to the Keys — on the same map as South Florida's marquee dining rooms.

For diners, it is a signal of how far Florida's restaurant scene has climbed in just a few years, and how much of that growth is now happening outside the biggest cities.
