Tampa's Hall on Franklin Reboots With Tacos and Mezcal

A downtown Tampa food destination is being reborn. Three new concepts took over the Hall on Franklin building in 2026, headlined by Uno Mas: Taqueria + Lounge, a Mexico City-style taco spot paired with two speakeasy-style mezcal lounges. The food comes from the team behind the well-regarded Reyes group.

The reboot leaned into a moody, bar-forward experience — agave spirits, late hours, and street-style tacos — a format that has proven popular as Tampa's nightlife and dining districts continue to expand. The trio of concepts was expected to be fully open by summer, adding energy to a corner of downtown that had been searching for its next act.

Betting on downtown

The project reflected a broader wave of investment in Tampa's urban core, where operators are converting older buildings into multi-concept spaces designed to keep guests lingering from dinner into the night. For a city whose food scene keeps climbing, it was another sign that the action is increasingly downtown.
