Luxury resale is booming in South Florida, and The RealReal is expanding to meet it. The authenticated-consignment company announced it will open a new West Palm Beach store on Thursday, August 13, relocating from its longtime Palm Beach location into a larger, more modern space of more than 2,100 square feet at the CityPlace development.

The RealReal's 18th U.S. retail location, the store pairs the company's authentication expertise with a concierge-style shopping and consignment experience across women's and men's fashion, handbags, fine jewelry, watches, and accessories — with pieces from houses such as Chanel, Dior, Hermès, and Rolex. To mark the debut, the company said customers who consigned an accepted item during the opening weekend would receive a site credit.

Resale goes upscale

The move reflects the growing mainstream appeal of pre-owned luxury, particularly in an affluent market like Palm Beach County. As shoppers increasingly treat resale as both a value play and a sustainability choice, brands like The RealReal are trading pop-ups for permanent, full-service boutiques in Florida's wealthiest enclaves.
