SeaWorld Orlando to Open 'SeaQuest' Dark Ride in Late Summer 2026

SeaWorld Orlando is preparing to open a new indoor attraction called SeaQuest: Legends of the Deep. The suspended dark ride puts guests aboard vehicles designed to feel like deep-sea submersibles, gliding through glowing underwater scenes populated by marine creatures and ocean myth. The park has said it is targeting a late-summer 2026 debut.
The addition marks a shift for a park better known in recent years for thrill coasters such as Penguin Trek. By leaning into a slower, story-driven experience, SeaWorld is broadening its appeal to families and to guests looking for a break from Central Florida's heat.
A crowded season
The ride joins a busy year of new attractions across Orlando and Tampa Bay, from theme-park expansions to animal-habitat upgrades at nearby Busch Gardens.
