Florida Welcomes a Record 143.3 Million Visitors in 2025

Florida drew a record 143.3 million visitors in 2025, state officials announced, extending a long streak of record-setting years even as the overall increase was slight. The fourth quarter was the strongest on record for that period, with an estimated 33.5 million people traveling to the state between October and December.

Domestic travelers did most of the heavy lifting, accounting for more than 90% of all visitors. International arrivals shifted, with Brazil emerging as the second-largest overseas source market alongside continued strength from Argentina and parts of Europe. Officials pointed to the May 2025 opening of a major new Orlando theme park as a marquee draw during the year.

A flatter start to 2026

Early figures for the first quarter of 2026 showed roughly 39.9 million visitors — a strong number, though slightly below the same period a year earlier. Tourism leaders framed the plateau as a sign of a maturing market rather than a downturn, noting that Florida is competing against record comparisons of its own making.
